Sculpture by the Sea is on again in Cottesloe, Perth, from 8-24 March, 2013. To celebrate our partnership with Sculpture by the Sea, we are proud to announce the What Degree? Which University? We are proud to invite high school students to submit up to six photos of your experiences of Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe 2013 to the What Degree? Which University? Student Photography Competition of Sculpture by the Sea.

Held on the white sands of Cottesloe in Perth each year, Sculpture by the Sea is a photographer’s delight, with literally hundreds of new national and international sculptures exhibited on one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal landscapes.

To celebrate our partnership with Sculpture by the Sea, we invite high school photographers to step up to the challenge of becoming a professional photographer. For the duration of the exhibition, we’re looking for photos of Sculpture by the Sea from high school students which are unique, challenging and bold.

All photographs will be judged by Sculpture by the Sea’s own head photographer, Clyde Yee. The best three photographs will feature on the Sculpture by the Sea website – which is visited by thousands of visitors throughout the exhibition – for a licencing fee of $100, just like a professional photographer. With $100 in your pocket, you also have the chance to be invited to work as an intern photographer at Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe 2014. This is your chance to break into professional photography.

How to enter

• High school students are invited to send up to 6 photos of their choice to wdwu@bathtubproductions.com at any time during the exhibition. Please send in landscape, rather than portrait, orientated photos, as these are the best shape for the Sculpture by the Sea website.
• Entrants must include their name, age, school, home address and phone number in their email.
• All entries must be received by midnight on Friday 5 April 2013.
• Winners will be announced on Friday 29 March 2013 via the What Degree? Which University? Facebook page.
