Specialisation subjects in this degree are focused on the development of leadership, management and industrial relations skills. The degree is structured to allow students to choose a number of elective subjects from another business degree, such as Accounting, Banking or Finance. This not only provides graduates with general qualifications in business management, but also equips them with business management skills that can be applied in a specific business area.

Practical experience subjects offer work placement in each year of the degree, with a 35 hour placement in first year, a 70 hour placement in second year, and 120 hours in third year. Work placements can be completed in one unit, or can be spread out over weeks or months, generally dependent upon the availability of suitable placement in the students’ chosen area. Employment opportunities in business management span the entire hierarchy of an organisation, and there are possibilities for great career growth over time.

Core Units: Business Economics; Organisations & Management; Ethics, Sustainability & Culture.
