Bachelor of General Studies (Science)

This degree provides a flexible way to study science, with the option to choose subjects from the wide range of science disciplines provided for study at CSU. The main objective of this degree is equip graduates with a wide range of vocational skills in science, preparing them for a wide range of employment opportunities.

Degree Structure

20 restricted electives (160 credit points) + 4 free electives (32 credit points) = 192 credit points




Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange, Wagga Wagga

The ‘restricted’ electives must come from degrees within the CSU Faculty of Science. These include Agricultural Sciences, Health and Nutrition, Veterinary Science, and Environmental Science. The free electives, on the other hand, can be selected from any discipline offered by CSU, so long as pre-requisites are met and subjects are available at the desired time. Students can exit this degree before its completion and attain a University Certificate in General Studies (Science - 64 credit points) or an Associate Degree in General Studies (Science - 128 credit points).
