Introduction:
Founded in 1850 and characterised by its emollient sandstone buildings, the University of Sydney is the oldest university in Australia. With 16 different faculties altogether, the University of Sydney offers its students a diverse range of study options.

The University of Sydney currently has over 49,000 students enrolled in its degrees across its many campuses spread between Darlington, Camperdown, Rozelle, Camden, Cumberland and the Conservatorium in the CBD. There are over 3,500 academic staff, more than 200 clubs and societies, and 5.2 million items in the university library.

The University of Sydney carries with it a reputation for the quality of its Arts, Law, and Medicine degrees, making it an enviable place to study. But it is the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences that are the most popular for undergraduate degrees, closely followed by the University of Sydney Business School. The range of degrees within all faculties is just astounding, with the opportunity to focus closely on a field of Science or Commerce, while at the same time investigating your passions in Arts or Psychology.
