Degree Structure

Core units (150 credit points) + Specialist Elective units (90 credit points) = 240 credit points




Casuarina campus. External Studies mode also available.

This degree is 3 years long, in which time students will learn all the content covered in the undergraduate law component.

Students will begin by learning core units, which focus on all areas of law. These include: Legal Interpretation, Criminal Law, Torts, Contracts, Public Law, Constitutional Law, Equity, Trusts, Property Law, Administrative Law, Corporations Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure and Professional Responsibility.

Once these are out of the way, students can go on to choose specialist elective law units. These allow students to hone in on their interests in the law profession, in interesting areas which include: Human Rights Law; Environmental and Planning Law; Employment Law; Property Law; Intellectual Property Law; Indigenous Peoples and the Legal System; and even Cyber Law.
