A Bachelor of Laws at Adelaide University offers students a comprehensive program that can be undertaken as a single or double degree, with a compulsory grounding in common law principles and legal methodology, in addition to a wide variety of elective choices from the socially-oriented areas to liberal and commercial sides of the law.

North Terrace campus

Students may choose to specialise in areas such as media law, international law, financial transactions and criminal law, and may also take electives in a variety of areas, or undertake studies as a double degree, in a range of approved streams. Graduates will be qualified as accredited legal practitioners throughout Australia, following completion of a Graduate Diploma and Legal Practice certificate.

Core units: Foundations of  Law; Law of Torts 1; Contracts; Property Law; Law of Torts 2  Principles of Public Law; Australian Constitutional Law; Equity; Administrative Law; Criminal Law and Procedure; Corporate Law; Dispute Resolution and Ethics; Evidence and Proof in Theory and Practice.

Majors Offered: Media Law, International Law, Financial Transactions and Criminal Law.
