Swinburne University of Technology

Introduction:
The university continued to grow and it soon became an institution offering degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering, chemistry, television and film, and computer programming. In July 1992, as a result of its successes in the field of education, a review saw Swinburne finally become a university.

Swinburne University is now internationally recognised with a campus in Malaysia. It carries with it a reputation for research. By 2015, Swinburne University hopes to become one of Australia’s top ten research institutes, as it continues to expand its international and industrial partnerships.

Swinburne’s reason for opening its doors over 100 years ago remains its reason to expand today. Swinburne offers a generous amount of social activities, inviting its students to meet one another and socialise. The vibrant atmosphere offers Swinburne’s students an exceptional learning environment.
